Dishubtrans Kecam Go-Jek Buka Rekrutmen Besar-Besaran

Go-Jek Recruitment Should Wait LLAJ Law Revision

Jakarta Transportation Department condemned Go-Jek's mass recruitment because the legal protection for app-based transport is not issued yet.

By opening mass recruitment it's like you defy us

Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Andri Yansyah asserted, Go-Jek is supposed to wait the review result about Law No.22/2009 on Traffic and Land Transportation (LLAJ) to be revised or not.

"By opening mass recruitment it's like you defy us," he exclaimed, Tuesday (8/18).

Go-Jek Suggested to Focus on Goods Transportation

He told, his party along with Police, Land Transportation Organization (Organda) and Jakarta Transportation Board (DTKJ) have agreed that Go-Jek's operational and other application based transport should refer to the LLAJ.

"If they want to be controlled, then they certainly should obey the laws," he asserted.

The former Sub-District Head of Jatinegara disclosed, he could not just crack down on the transportation that in regulation of LLAJ Laws does not included in public transportation category. Hence,  the company owner is asked to sit together finding solution to revise the laws.

"If Go-Jek is already listed on the laws, then government could take action if there is violation," he explained.

He claimed, the existence of Go-Jek is still enthused and needed by citizens. It is proven with many citizens who order the service.

"We can't ask Go-Jek to stop operating as citizens still need it. Therefore the company should propose LLAJ Laws revision to City council," he disclosed.
